   Get him some type of Astringent like Clean & Clear or ask pharmacist other good brandsRite Aid or Walmart have various types .Remember twice a day you wash with hot water to open poresand rinse with cold to close them.You pat dry you the area . Then get some Acne product like Clearasil and only dab affected area's only. Also tell him watch the junk foods like Chips anddrink plenty of water . Good Luck !!    my brother had a same problem as u brother….if proactiv not works,my brother try to take a accutane and work so so so good!!it clear all a acne on my brother face!!ask your brother to try it!!and no jokes!!-good luck- Source(s): brother

   He could try tea-tree oil… it worked for my brother, although the smell is quite strong
