   Meyer probably prefers her men to be so pale white that they look like they're sick. Yuck; so she tries to force her concept of beauty on to others. Think about her vampire marble lips, freakish pale skin and circle like bruises under her eyes. If anyone were to look like this in real life most normal people would be disgusted. Personally, I have no problem with ivory-skinned guys, but when it comes down to the point when their bone white, meaning whiter than white; I'm automatically turned off. Meyer was just probably tired of society's concept of beauty, tall, dark, tan skin, and handsome; so she created a world where pale people were much more beautiful than olive-skinned people.
