Ear piercing is bleeding over night?
I've just gotten my ears pierced about 1 week ago , and during the day its just fine, nothing wrong with it. I clean it with antiseptic ear care every morning & night. But every time I wake up , there's dried blood over my earring. It was never there before I went to bed. After it happened 2 times to me, I went to a mirror & pushed the earring from the back so I could see under the stud from the front side. I noticed the earring cut a layer of skin off my ear. Then I noticed like VERY VERY VERY little puss, just like a tiny drop of it. I wiped the puss out. After that , for the rest of the day it's fine, but when I wake up the next morning , it's probably is gonna happen again (it's only happened 2 times to me so far). Help please ? How do I stop this & about how long would the process take?
Other info;
-After 3 days of getting the pierce, I switched to a stud from Claire's, but after one day, I switched it back to the original ones I got pierced with.
-I'm 14 years old.
-It was swollen for about 2 days after I switched it back to the original earrings.
-When I switched it back to the original earring I got pierced with, it took SO long, like almost an hour.
How do I stop this & about how long would the process take?
Thanks for your help !

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Don't remove the earrings, it's too soon. Push it from the front so there's a gap between your ear & the earring. Clean it with peroxide and a Q tip, then apply Neosporin or a similar antibiotic ointment with a Q tip because it is infected. Then take a piece of gauze or take a band-aid and cut out a piece of the center of it (the pad part) and put it (with pad part down) between the ear & earring. It won't stick to the ear when it bleeds because of the antibiotic ointment. Then just let it heal, clean it and change it every day but remember the ointment as long as it is bleeding. It will probably take 2 -3 weeks to heal depending on how fast you heal. Take Vitamin B Complex, helps tissue heal faster. Source(s): *work in medical field 20+ years
That depends on a lot of factors. Bleeding from the ear is hard to stop, just like anywhere on the head, because there is a lot of circulation there. You have to continue cleaning it, and I would advise doubling that with a triple antibiotic ointment you can find in any pharmacy over the counter. If you remove the earrings then that may re-open a wound and also increases risk of infection. Given that you saw puss, even though it was a small amount, and you are having trouble controlling the bleeding I would call your doctor and see if he recommends anything else to be safe.
