Does fingerprint pattern change if cut accidentally?

If the skin of your fingers get cut multiple times does that change your fingerprint pattern?

I'm asking this coz my thumb got cut multiple times accidentally the day before… and this question popped in my head, not that I really care but I find this a bit interesting.
