Do you see black women as unattractive compared to White women?
In American society, we are taught that the further away from White you get, the less desirable you are. This is especially true with women, since females are especially held to beauty standards. Also, Black women tend to have negative stereotypes working against them in regards to their demeanor/character, which to white people who don't know many black women to begin with, may make black women seem even more unattractive.
In America, at least, and this may be different overseas, black women with dark brown skin (Alek Wek) are seen as less attractive than black women with light brown skin (Beyonce). Also, black MEN tend to prefer black women with straight hair, which is unnatural on black women, but more "euro-centric" therefore more 'desireable,'
Do you personally consider black women or afrocentric features less attractive than white women or eurocentric features?

lets shoot this theory to hell right now! compare say, Tyra to say, roseanne Barr and then issue the same statement. A woman is either beautiful or not. People are either racist or not. By talking about stereotypes you just perpetuate the problem.
OMG! ALL WOMAN ARE DESAME WE ALL WANT THE SAME THINGS! THERE ARE GOOD ONES AND BAD ONES ITS IN EVERY CULTURE AND NO MATTER WHAT RACE YOU ARE WE ALL FEEL DESAME WAY! BUT IF YOU WATCH TOO MUCH TV AND PAY SO MUCH ATTENTION TO MEDIA THEN YALL YOU WOULD THINK THAT WAY…..
i think that at least in popular opinion that there is a striving for one "beauty type" … that being straight hair, size2, thin willowy bodies and yes i might say there is a striving towards lightness.. i wouldnt say whiteness. because tan is big. i myself am short w/ curly hair and latina hips…. i am not steriotypical but i think that many men at least like it that way different catches your eye… you cant really change alot about your skin ( unless you are michael jackson) so no matter what society says is optimal love the skin you are in and do the best w/ what you have.
