   Lmao this same old worn out crap will never cease. And the same old answers its a broken record. And my New Year resolution was to stop giving a d– what people say about it.. Cowboys rank no (1) Home attendance 718.055 Away games 589,176. for the 09 season. Nfl football attendance ESPN And as sorry as the skins have been they were a close 2nd. And from about 08 for several years they led the parade. Every intelligent football fan knows what, and how the name came about. But just like that old tired worn out statement ( they have not won a playoff in 13 yearssssss) They love to vent about this America's team crap. What about America's cleaners. America's carpet and upholstery cleaning company. Here's a good one America's chinese fine dinning.. America's car wash and there are a lot more . Probably right in your home town also. Lmao What does that mean ? that they are the cleaners of every citizen in America. Cowboys have enough fans, have even picked up a few wagon jumpers. But if they lose Sat. they will jump back off.. No matter how many times this comes up, almost since the beginning of the franchise. Cowboys will be know as America's team, in the history books. Because it has nothing to do, with how good the team is.. No one is trying to recruit nor claim anyone, I don't question who your team is nor why you chose them. I could care less about their nick name. And how you feel about mine matters not. And that's the way it should be. Now if your team is in the play offs, good luck good sportsmanship makes for good fans….

   Your'e right, being Americas team doesn't matter to anybody else except people who think it actually effects their lives. You support your team and that is good enough. No need for the rest of America to support also. Cowboys look good this year though, hope they can crush the eagles again.

   The fact that they are "Americas Team" is what keeps their fan base growing. Stupid "fans" of the game hear Americas Team and immediatly make the Cowboys their favorite team. Honestly I dont see why you have to pick a team based on stuff like that. Why are their Cowboy fans all over the country? Is it because of their history? What a pathetic reason to make a team your favorite team. There are 32 teams and Im sure there are fans of each team in every city. There is no such thing as Americas Team. We didnt have a vote. Personally I dont like any of the NFC East.

   I could care less. To me the cowboys are just Texas's 1st team. ( Sorry Texan fans ) If the cowboys really wanted to become America's team. They would switch places with the 'skins.    no one cares. cowboys fans need to get a life if they really care about the nickname. the only team that could ever have been called america's team in any spot was the yankees pre steinbrenner, but the majority of the country hates both dallas and nyy now so just dumb nickname.

   No offense to Cowboys fan but I think it's dumb. Everyone in America pulls for someone different so the nickname doesn't even make sense. They did the same thing here with the Braves and it makes just as much sense- none. Source(s): Falcons/Braves fan

   I can't stand it. Why? Because a lot of people took what that announcer said and ran with it. Especially Dallas fans. I honestly think Pittsburgh is the unofficial America's Team. With New Orleans on the rise to become America's Team

   it bothers me, because they haven't won a playoff game since 1996, yeah they won 5 super bowls, but i don't think they should be considered americas team again till atleast they win another super bowl (sorry cowboys fans)
