Do I need car insurance if I'm at college and will not be driving the car?
This semester I'll be living on campus so I don't want to pay for the monthly car insurance. Is it legal to drop the policy for the next two quarters and then pick it up again in the spring? The car would be parked, and not driven at all.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters You could try to use google it first, here http://www.Autoinsurancepro.infohas some direct information which I think is might be helpful.
Depends on your policy. Are you on a month to month, every 6 months, or once a year contract?Ask your insurance company if you don't know what type of contract period you are on.
no you cannot do that, as when you take out a car insurance policy, you have a 12 months contract. You cannot drop the policy and then carry on with it later. They wont do that.
