Did "Family Guy" go to far with last sundays episode.?
are people too sensitive or did the show really go to far by poking fun at Sarah Palin. as a mom and a former health care worker I thought it was in poor taste but I considered the source. The show has made several jokes in regards to Jon Benet Ramsey and one of the characters (Mr. Herbert) is a pedophile and people seem to think that's funny(I see no humor in pedophilia) but the show targets everyone .Marlie Matlin thought it was funny when they lampooned her. Has this show gone to far or should people develop thicker skin . You don have to watch the show if you don't agree with it but when do you say enough is enough. I am curious about how others feel

There is no such thing as going too far in the world of Family Guy, they make fun of EVERYTHING, no matter how sensitive the subject. People need to either not watch, or grow thicker skin. I'm tired of all the political correctness nazis saying that things go too far. You said it yourself, if you don't like it, nothing is forcing you to watch it. And really, Palin is just looking for another way to get in the news, they never mentioned her or her family by name, people need to stop taking offense to a show that's made to be offensive.
Some people remind me of Issac Hayes. He complained when South Park "made fun" of Scientology. He was fine when it was making fun of Catholics, when it made fun of Jews on pretty much every episode, when it picked on the disabled, etc. People don't care when shows are making fun of everything else, but then they hit one topic and people scream bloody murder. Well if you can make fun of everything else then why is this one thing so bad. The time to complain was on the FIRST occasion, not on the 200th.
I don't think it's gone too far. It's considered TV MA for a reason. Yes you're right if you don't like it don't watch it. Just because some of the scenes may be obnoxious you have to dislike the show. There are still hilarious scenes aside the ones you mentioned.
I have no great love for Sarah Palin, but to make fun of her little boy just isn't fair. I think they overstepped the boundaries of what is decent behavior.
Nope,,nothing is out of reach of Family Guy,,we love it in the UK where humour is very different and all politicians are up for attack,
Family Guy can't go too far. People and fans of the show know exactly what kind of show it is. I love it.
it's fair game. If mr's palin does not like it, than she can go pound sand. Source(s): No one is safe..
sarah palin offends me everytime she opens her mouth
People need to grow thicker skin…
I haven't seen it but yeah I feel that people should learn to have a sense of humor
I posted a very similar question. My answer, although not stated in my question, is that they did go too far. As an avid Family Guy watcher and supporter, I was shocked when they made that joke. The answer I chose as the best answer for that question was a guy saying that they did go too far, because they didn't think about Sarah Palin's feelings, but instead they went for shock factor. Don't you agree that they did this? However, I will continue watching it. I just feel that to make fun of down syndrome. HOWEVER, people certainly do need thicker skin. Source(s): And just so all you guys know, the joke wasn't a joke directed at Sarah Palin. The girl that said her mother is the former Governor of Alaska had down syndrome, and Sarah Palin has a child with down syndrome. That is what they are making fun of.
