   I haven't ever heard that… all my friends that are dark skinned are really beautiful and it is natural beauty too, they don't wear any makeup.

   Wow this whole light skin vs dark skin is never gonna go away! Im not sure why some ppl think having long hair and lightskin is the thing to have. Its always been like that for a while.

   There are three people who i think look absalutly beautiful in my group of friends: one is olive skinned curly dark haired and black eyes and she looks amazing in a bikini! One is almost albino with long white hair with stunning huge blue eyes, and the other is completely black with big afro hair that looks the best out of all of them! So they are all completely different so i do not understand the steriotyping either!? Its so confusing. It could be that people are brought up with a certain perspective so they automatically prefer whites?I also think that alot of people like lots of diferent people and there is no standard beauty, just most people think there is.So I disagree with your first statement!- not everyone believes light skinned people are the most prettiest

    I actually find dark skin very attractive. Like, an indian, beautiful brown skin and dark eyes and hair.I dont particularily like my light skin because it's easy to see blemishes and it turns pink.

    THAT'S CRAP! im nigerian i live in america and it's true americans make fun of dark skinned people but they wanna be like that why do you think they tan? and colored people a natural muscular and no offense to white people but there not and they try and build muscle dont you notice how we have hips and chests and (typically) they dont they try and be like thatp.s just for the record im a tan like lighter and i personnaly dark skin is so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! so i envy you lol! dont let those stupid steryoe types get you down p.s.s i think everyone's beautiful in there own way if only everyone would beleive it and that includes you

    Lol And I'm sick of black people stereotyping white people.EVERYBODY is a bad word to use.I am not like my neighbor. My neighbor is not like their neighbors.I doubt every single person thinks dark skinned people are ugly.I hardly notice when people are black, asian, or white. I don't care what race you are, you're just a person.

    You should understand that black americans are decendants of slaves, most of them feel defeated in all aspects of life (looks, intelligence, power) therefore they mimic caucasians. They do not realize the beauty in the color they have until they all loose it, chasing after redbone (light skin) women.DARK SKIN MAY NOT EXIST IN OUR NEXT GENERATION!!

    i have loved dark skin since i was a child (im white, which i think is ugly). a friend of mine was from a mixed race family and i remember asking my mam why i didnt have the same colour. she explained that my friends mam was a coloured woman(that was the terminology in those days-im 55 now). i said i wanted her to e my mam so i would have the same colour as my friend. this has stuck with me all my life. i have been married to a south african who was dark skinned and several years after he died i met a spaniard. both these men have the best skin in the world. i also had a morrocan boyfriend and his skin was to die for. i guess its a matter of preference. i would give anything to have your colour-dark skin looks attractive no matter if you feel ill or there is no sun for a tan. you are so lucky.
