   Hi, Yes you can! It may make it a little higher that you are going to be driving a lot. The insurance companies usually put you in a category based on how many miles you average per year and if you're in a higher category I imagine your rates are a little higher but I don't think all companies even ask about mileage.    you can pay monthly, there's a place called safe auto (safeauto.com) that can give you the cheapest rates. it's not really the fact that you're travelling that will affect it, it's the fact that you probably have never had it before I assume, you probably didn't take driver's ed, and you probably didn't have it until after being 18 (these are assumptions of course) are you going to be renting a car or borrowing someones? if you can borrow someones, you should have them add you on their insurance policy as a person that is allowed to drive it, it would probably be cheaper than getting your own. a couple other sites you can look online for quotes are:geico.comnationwide.comallstate.comgood luck and have fun sight seeing!    Yes you can, I own a 1995 Tempo and I pay monthly, I found a good review and quote at http://www.AutoInsuranceMonster.com and I usually pay like $45 dollars a month.

   Yes, you can. I do right now. I think the amount you will pay has to do with your age, sex, and driving experience, and type of vehicle.

   Yes, you can make monthly payments on a 6 month or 12 month policy. The agent should ask you how you plan to use the vehicle and they will rate the policy accordingly.
