   Serious misconception here. You can NOT drive any car (provided you don't own it) third party only on your own insurance regardless of cover type. This may only apply if you have fully comp cover and only then if your policy specifically allows it. Don't fall for the dangerously wrong advice given.I'm afraid that, on the information given, you will not be able to acquire insurance for what you want. Sorry.

   If you have fully comprehensive cover on your own vehicle, this allows you to drive other vehicles anyway?

   Couple of misconceptions here. You can drive any car (provided you don't own it) third party only on your own insurance regardless of cover type. Generally, age is not an issue in this regard. However, you cannot insure a car for which you have no insurable interest in your own name and the car itself cannot be insured under two seperate insurance policies. In short, unless dad is willing to let you drive it third party only under your own car insurance the answer is no, you can't.UPDATE: The driving other cars extension depends on Insurer. I have it on my TPO policy and my comp policy, you may not. Best check.

   insure for any driver.theres no reason not to insure you because you are 19 you are in the high risk group so policy very expensive.
