   Best Answer – Chosen by Voters You can have different ones, however, insurers generally give a discount if yu have both policies with them. As for the dogs, you 'll have to call. Certain breeds are accepted, others are not.

   Yes, the homeowners can be different than the car.I know of NO companies that will write a homeowners policy with full liability on anyone who owns a pitt bull. Period. Foremost insurance will write a homeowners policy with a dog bite exclusion on it, if your dogs have never bitten anyone. They are the only one I know of, who will do the exclusion.Any other company that says they'll write pitt bulls, I bet if you write "I have two pitt bulls" on the application, they'll turn it down. Even Nationwide.

   There are certain insurance companies who will insure you even if you have pitbulls. There is a specific endorsement that you put on your policy, that surcharges the liability portion of the policy.You should probably shop around different companies for your home and auto combined, so that you can get the auto/home discount applied to both.

   Yes, you can have different carriers for the policies. Good luck finding a policy that will cover pit bulls without charging an arm and a leg. Best bet would be to get the training. You cn generally get a discount for having more than one policy with a company.

   Because of the type of dog that you have your choices will limited. I would try a site like http://www.insuranceeasy.org . They have several links to companies that provide free quotes. By using a site like this or similar you will be able to increase your chances of finding a company that will quote you.

   Yes. Home owner insurance can be difference than auto insurance. Usually, if you buy them all together, the company may give you a bundle discount.I didn't know that dogs may have restrictions.

   Yes you may. GE homeowners won't take you with animals.
