   I'm not sure but i dont think that will work. If a police officer pulled u over, they have to see that the car title and insurance under the name of the same person but for further info just call ur auto insurance agent.

   yes, you would be the main driver though on the policy.ive been pulled over a few times with no issues. the car is still on your name when they look up your registration. and even if its your parents car i had no issues. Source(s): been there, done that.
