Can anyone help with elder skin issues?
My 89 yr old grandmother has very delicate skin. She constantly has cuts on her fingers and knuckles. Can anyone suggest prevention and care of these cuts.

When your Grandmother has a cut, make sure you treat it immediately, otherwise, it will get infected. Take her to the bathroom and wash it with cold water. Use soap on it. Towel dry it CAREFULLY and THOROUGHLY. (Make sure you do NOT use a paper towel or toilet paper because the germs from it can make it infected or pieces of the wet toilet paper can get in the cut and make it infected) Use POLYSPORIN on the cut and wrap it (NOT TOO TIGHTLY) around the cut with a Band-Aid and leave it. Change the Band-Aid once a day. Go to the dermatologist and ask the doctor for something to put on her hands so that it doesn't make her skin too delicate and so she is not prone to cuts. Hope I helped! Ciao! Source(s): Yours truly, Alice!
