Can anyone help stop oily skin?
I'm 17 years old and only recently i have began to get pretty bad oil build up on my nose. I Do have quite bad blackheads on my nose but they are getting better. I have tried Biore shine control moisturizer to stop the oil build up, but no luck. I' am now using Nivea Visage Oil free moisturizing fluid which has helped but not taken care of the problem permanently. I never use to have this problem as i have not changed any face wash before the problem started, I do also eat healthy and exercise regularly. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good moisturizer to permanently stop this oil build up. Thanks.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters try not to use so much product. if you use too much, it can just dry it out temporarily, but make it more oily than before. i have the same problem, mainly was in high school, but it's getting better now. one of the best things i've used were these oil absorbing sheets. they're small little wipes that just soak up ALL the oil on your face.here's a link:http://www.amazon0o0com/Clean-Clear-Instan…buy them at target, walgreens, etc.
First of all control on your diet.Avoid all the junk foods.Take 2or 3 days in a week total boiled food.Use more salad and green vegetables in diet.Drink plenty of water.Apply sandalwood paste on your face daily at bed time.Reduce oil, fat, more fried, more spicy, alcohol, dairy product, tea or coffee in your diet. If you follow these tips then no need to spend extra money for your problem. For details you can visit the source site. Source(s): http://skinbeautytipsskincare.blogspot.c…

you could change somethings u eat maybe try and find out what causes oily skin
You're only 17 so your hormones are all over…I personally use Clinique Antioxident Night Moisturiser (you can use this during the day). It does cost $90 Australian but it works wonders. You need the combination oily by the sounds of it. Just ask the shop assistant for help for the best results. Also I don't have bad black heads but they are there and to get rid of them I soak my face in water (like after a shower or after you have been swimming) get your finger and place it at the end of your nose. Push in and up like you are pulling a pig face but so you are not pulling too tightly on the skin in the middle of your nose but still applying a good amount of pressure to the skin on your nose…you will see what looks like little worms come out…you can do that to the sides of your nose too. Make sure you wash your face after to get away all the puss. Do not use a facial scrub (exfoliating scrub) on your pimples as this can tear the skin and cause scaring. Moisturiser is FINE on any skin as long as you are using the right one!!! And don't wash your face without moisturing as this will dry your sking out and you will start flaking! Alcohols and oils are the last thing you want to put on your skin too! Source(s): Clinique skincare specialist Myre
Moisturizer is the last thing you want to use on pimples. It will make them WORSE! You need something which will dry out your skin a little, and get rid of the dirt and oils. People recommend moisturizers not be used on areas where there is a blackhead. Try using a facial cleansing scrub, or an acne cream. My auntie uses Nivia, and she is a chemist. I am about to do my first trial tonight
If you want a more natural method, I could control my pimples by alternating between aloe vera and methylated spirits. The alcohol kills the bacteria which cause pimples, and the aloe dries out the oily areas, as well as nourishing the skin. Another alternative is tea-tree oil but i find this only works on small spots, and not the large pus-filled ones.
