u use too much and Vaseline does nothing for u if ur talking about the petroleum jelly. its just a lubricant rather than a moisturizer and it actually dries out skin and worsen acne. u use too many lines for one. u basically got things backwards. stick with one line for acne. dermalogica is a brand that a lot of people with sensitive skin like. you should be using just one soap for ur face both day and night. and u should always use a moisturizer right after. not talking about when u feel ur face totally dry, im talking about the second after u pat ur face dry…i personally like acne free because it feels gentle enough for my skin and it doesn't dry it out. but i suggest u just try the dermalogica line or perhaps skin ID by nutrogena….your routine should be more like, cleanse ur face once in the morning with clean hands. use a toner if you have discoloration, then use a moisturizer…it helps if all or 2 out of the three products ur using have an acne treatment in it such as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. this process should be repeated twice a day, with clean hands only. if u happen to touch something else such as the toilet seat, ur hair brush, etc, before applying, do wash ur hands again. you can layer one more moisturizer at night if needed, but again, make sure its noncomedogenic. spot treatment only for your pimples and since u have dry skin, try only at night…just dab a bit on each pimple with clean hands, wait for it to dry before u fall asleep….do no use vaseline because u have acne and don't use so many different skin care lines…dermalogica or skin ID by neutrogena are lines i think you should look into though…what vaseline is good for is to lubricate skin areas that need a bit more give with elasticity and a bit of a barrier as well…like a scab or dry joints that are cracking. as well as to loosen and shine things…yeah thats pretty much it. vaseline should not be used on ur face unless ur coating ur lashes with em for a clear mascara effect…
Look for a cleansing moisturizer. There are a LOT of dual products out there. And make sure to give products a little time to take effect, there is no over night answer. Also, a lot of soap products help dry out skin. Try something MEANT for your face, look for hypoallergenic facial cleansing products, like oil of olay cleansing cloths.
Vasalene? That is petroleum based and will GIVE you acne. I would recommend Neutrogena. My skin dries out in the winter usually but their acne system ($20 in stores) really works for me.
