Belly ring got infected and fell off on its own? Please help!?
I got my belly piercing in July I took care of it but probably not as I should of. I changed it after 4 weeks because I felt that it looked pretty good, once I took it out everything was fine but then after that I started having problems, it kept getting swollen and at times painful. Sometimes it was really irritated. Last week I noticed the skin near the belly ring got very thin, it got so thin to the point where it seemed that the belly would fall off because the skin was not tick enough to keep it in. It fell off on its own. Its been about a week now I clean it about 3 times a day, seems like the skin is healing pretty good and I am dying to get it done again, except this time I will follow the rules with the aftercare. What do you think happened here?

It sounds to me like you didn't clean it right. You said that you slacked a little bit on the aftercare – which isn't good. The other problem is that you switched it out way too early. Before you change a body piercing you should typically wait 3 months. If and when you get it re-pierced, do not clean it 3 times a day. You should only be cleaning it twice a day. Once in the morning and once before you go to sleep at night. It seems like it got infected pretty quick, so make sure your hands are always clean before touching/cleaning it, and do not play with it at random times. Good luck
Your body rejected the piercing since it forcibly pushed the ring out.Belly rings are prone to rejections because they're surface piercings but if you follow the cleaning instructions it should be fine. You can look into this, I'm not too sure if it works for naval piercings but it seems to be a general rule of thumb, if it seems like you're starting to get an infection do a sea salt soak once or twice a day to draw the dirt and bacteria out.Good luck
Maybe it got a little infection and came off on its own.The same thing happened to my nose ring, it came off randomly. You skin probably got irritated and didn't like having a belly peircing (:Or sometimes things like that just happen.Ask the person who peirced you ?* xo ; scenestarr.
i just think cleaning it might be the msot important part?my friend had the same situation, and they said cleaning it is key.how old were you when you got it done?
I had exactly the same problem a couple of years ago, and as mentioned above, it's due to your body rejecting the piercing. It's completely normal, and I know so many people who have been shocked to see their piercing just fall out. I made the same mistake as you, and changed mine too soon. This meant that when I tried to change the bar, it had already started to close and so I ended up tearing the piercing. This then lead to an infection, so in a way, I'm glad that my body rejected it because it was for the best. Give it time, and it will heal over well, although you may have a small scar. However, by the sounds of it, it doesn't sound like yours will scar very badly because it seems to be healing at a fast pace! Good luck, and like I said before, it's all completely normal
