   I suppose so, but he is an onion so… or like, all the fairy tales, where the princess finally dances with the prince, we actually dont know if the prince is a wife beater or not. on the other hand, there is beauty and the beast. which is true beauty, or love is another word for it. of course there is also infatuation, which is just a really hot chick.

   The correct phrase is "Beauty is only skin deep" and what it means is that no matter how pretty someone may be on the outside, if they're ugly on the inside – where it really counts – then none of their physical attributes mean a thing at all. Why? Because nobody likes an a$$hole! Not even a pretty one.As for Shrek, he isn't beautiful externally (except to another troll, I presume), but is beautiful internally – personality, character, etc.

   He is not real. So since we are talking fairy tales then yes, how? by his good attitude and hard work building that swamp house and such.Another example is .. Well I'm rusty on my fairy tales.
