Beauty & body questions?
1. leg waxing – how long do you have to let the hair grow for? how much does it hurt first time?
2. st tropez or spray tan? how long do they last before you have to top them up if you get them done professionally. if it's for a special occasion how many days in advance would you advise getting it done?
3. do any work out dvds work? i work shifts so can't really do any classes with my friends and figured that would be an ok alternative.
4. how do i stop myself biting my nails? and are there any things that make them grow quicker.
5. looking after my skin – exfoliater, cleanser, toner, moisturiser – which ones are good? i know i need to eat more fruit and veg and drink more water.
6. is there anything good for making stretch marks dissapear?
thanks

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters 1. When waxing your legs make sure to let the hair grow out for at least a week so that the wax can hold onto the hair in order to pull it out. Everyone is different with their pain tolerance and depending on the kind of wax you use and how you apply it have to be considered. But your first time will definitely be the worst of it because you don't know what to expect so its safe to say that the more you wax the less uncomfortable it will be. 2. Spray tan is safer for your skin and they normally last a week to 10 days (it fades with every shower) and i would recommend getting it done 2-3 days prior to your occasion.3. I have random yoga tapes and some 20-30 min workout dvd's but you have to decide which ones are right for you and your body so just pick what you need to work on whether its for weight loss or toning.4. My sister started getting weekly manicures to help her stop biting her nails and it does help them grow faster. (You can also buy a manicure at home kit which is less expensive).5. Again depending on your skin type (normal, oily, dry) its hard to say which product brand would benefit you more, but using these products daily does help improve your skin and keep it healthy.6. Cocoa butter cream/lotions is the best product to using for stretch marks. You would have to apply daily and liberally for at least 4-6 months to see results.Hope I helped. GOOD LUCK!
1) It has to be fairly long for the wax to attach n pull. Ive had my legs waxed since i was 12 it doesnt hurt it just pulls a bit3) My mum uses them and say it helps her lose weight4) Go into boots or any drug store and ask a assistant for some nail polish that gives a nasty taste every time you bite your nails.5) exfoliator and moisturiser are good to get soft skin
you need to drink lots of fresh water 6) bio oil

I think you have to let the hair grow up to 2 cm i'm not sure, it's not that bad but it does hurt the first time, it's not the worst pain you can experience. Some dance and workout dvd's work as im using some dance and workout dvd's im using jordan (katie price) workout which works good for me. I've got stop n grow for nails, i top it up after i've eat and after i've washed my hands. It works brilliant it hasn't got a nice taste to it which makes you stop biting your nails. I've used it for 3 weeks and my nails are long, i can have french manicures now lol. I've been after the answer for the 6 one for ages, if you find out let me know. Thanks
1. I've never waxed so I cant help you there sorry2.I would use tanning cream because its better for you to use and with spray tans you risk cancer3. Well I think some work out dvds work but for me to stay in shape I do 35 sit ups a day its not a lot but it works and you get results also try doing squats maybe before you go to bed to tone your butt and your legs.4.Try dipping them in lemon juice or something you dont like the taste of, you wont be as tempted. Eat lots of protein it helps hair and nails grow faster and longer5.I use clean and clear products which work great. Also the body shop just realsesed a line of skin clearing products. Heres the link to there shop. http://www.thebodyshop-usa0o0com/bodyshop/browse/category_page.jsp?categoryId=cat3840005&cm_re=Tyra_TeaTree-_-MainPane-_-ShopNewThe tea tree works so well you will love it! The blemish gel on the go works so well you can carry it around like lip gloss and just dab it on.6. Just moisturize and work out well and stretch.
wow this is going to be a long answer
just to let you know i'm a beauty therapist so i do know what i'm talking about
1 you need to let you hair grow for at least 3-4 weeks before it can be waxed otherwise it wont be long enough. and it all depends on your pain threshold (i find that its ok just slightly uncomfortable but i know others who cant stand it.)2 heres all you need to know about spray tanning…to start off exfoliate the day beforehand, at this time shave/wax and moisturise the skin. on the day don't wear any deodorant, or moisturiser or make up (come in to the salon as a fresh slate) as this will ruin your tan and of course have a shower. you can go bra-less = this will give you a better looking tan. also the underwear should be old ones that you don't mind getting ruined; they should also be revealing (i don't mean you have to wear a g-string/thong but something that will cover you but at the same time wont cover too much to make the tan look funny). Always listen to the beauty therapist's instructions on turning, body placement and when to hold your breath (when spraying face)Also where flip flop (havaianas) shoes and very baggy (old is best) clothing (as it takes a few minutes for the tan to dry). Don’t shower for at least 8 hours after the spray tanning and to make the tan last moisturise and don't exfoliate. The tan will last from anything form 3 days (if you have been swimming a lot) to 2 weeks.3 yes but only if you actually do them… having them lye around the house doesnt help
4 there a polishes on the market these days that can do a few things: one of them tastes awful so this can stop the biting (Mavala Stop-Nail Biting and Thumb Sucking Prevention- this is just one of many on the market)and the other helps to grow the nail faster (QTICA Natural Nail Growth Stimulator- again this is just one of many on the market)5 here is the proper way to treat your skin:1st cleanse your skin twice (the first cleanse will remove at least 50% of the dirt and oil on your skin then the second cleanse will remove at least 95% of the oil and dirt on the skin) with a product that is best for your skin with warm water.2nd then tone3rd moisturise and always use one with a minimum of 15spf in it.If you are exfoliating do that only twice a week no more and this should be done after the cleansing and before toning. If you have a mask again do that only twice a week no more and this should be done after the cleansing and before toningAnd never exfoliate and use a mask on the same dayI have found out of all the different products that I have worked with dermalogica is the best. You can buy a travel size pack of the range so you can really see if it suits you with out spending too much. You can buy it only at a beauty salon or on eBay. 6There are a few reasons you get stretch marks1 sudden weight gain 2 genetics3 low zinc in your bodySo the best way to help not get stretch marks is to increase your zinc intake. But to help your stretch marks fade (as you can never get rid of them, they only fade) is to apply a cream with vitamin E in it or something like emu oil really helps. There is also a product called ARTISTRY Body Toning Gel that really works (i use it my self and when i use it my stretch marks shrink in front of my eyes!) But I’m sorry you will always have stretch marks but hopefully they will fade in time. Hope this helps
