Anyone familiar with Health Savings Accounts? (HSA)?
I have an hsa account because my insurance is high deductible.
its 2500.00 loan that goes toward any medical expenses.
last year I used it quickly due to prenatal care, etc. Had no problems with it at all.
This year..after having my child, im having major skin issues (acne) so im seeing a dermatologist. I will have a 75 consultation fee and if I choose further care im sure will be spending quite a bit more and I plan on using the hsa account for these expenses.
Am I able to use this hsa for this? I mean it says anything "medical"…to me that is considered medical..

This is a great Site and will help you immensly also they have great videos.Go to the resource tab and a drop down box will have videos click there.www.customhealthplans0o0com Source(s): http://www.customhealthplans0o0com
Since acne is a skin problem and need to be treated so HSA will cover on this. Any medications will be covered by your health savings account. Source(s): http://mytagpay0o0com/
They don't really audit it so they may never even ask. Basically if you are worried just save every signal bill for anything you buy medicine wise. At the end of the year just use them as the ok for using HSA. It is perfectly legal.
Almost any medical expense is allowed. A dermatologist and related medications would definitely be covered. Even over the counter items, like Tylenol or contact lens solution, is covered. Types of things that are not covered are: plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes only, massages just because they make you feel less stressed, etc.Your HSA administrator should be able to provide you a list of what is an allowable expense. I also think it's available on the irs website (www.irs.gov).
