Any good tips for skin care?
I have fairly sensitive skin, and I have been breaking out a lot lately. I have tried pretty much everything from simply washing with Dove soap to using Proactive, however, I have had no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a product that works particularly well? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I always used to have skin problems and I also tried just about everything… Some things worked better than others, but most either didn't work for long, or were simply too much effort or money. So, one day I finally decided to go see a dermatologist. The copay was about 60 dollars or something and that was the worst of it. He looked at my face, determined my skin type and what it needed, then prescribed me some medicine. I have naturally dry skin so he gave me a special prescription lotion and also a pill that I take every night. The medicine itself is only around 10 dollars! It was completely worth it… I was zit free after only a week without oily or dry skin side effects and the medicine is light and simple… nothing that messes with your hormones. Some of the tips he gave me were to make sure I didn't go to bed with makeup on, to not put lotion on my face (lotion actually clogs your pores and causes zits to increase), and to only wash with something simple like dial soap. He told me that it's one of the biggest mistakes people make is to buy all these heavily advertised brands of soaps, lotions, etc to keep your face clean. They come with all sorts of ingredients that only hurt your face. Dial soap, no lotion, and a cheap prescription from a one time visit to a good doctor will do the trick. Good luck, sweetie!
I, too, am a sensitive skin type. In 1995, I was introduced to a line of botanically based products formulated especially for us! I have been using them ever since with a wholesale membership and have helped others do the same. I have a website that explains about the wonderful products – take a peek and let me know how I may help you. Our acne line, Clear Advantage, is great. Check it out on my site, http://www.sandradixon.myarbonne0o0com.
i used to have lots of pimples especially around my eyebrows and i started using cetaphil cleanser and its like magic..now i dont have any pimples anymore..please wash your face with cetaphil cleanser (its a facewash and not a soap) 3 times a day and use aveeno lotion on face and take off makeup before sleeping and you will see positive results..:)

well, i for starters wish in HS i would have just gone to a dermatologist cuz my acne bothered me. it wasnt bad, but i have a couple shallow scars that could have been avoided. BUT if u dont wanna go to the derm, there is some stuff u can do. if u get the little bumpies that just never seem t form to much but are always there, try using an exfoliator(but be careful cuz u said ur skin is sensative). i use biore skin preservation microderm exfoliator. its a polish that costs about 12 bucks at walmart. get a good face wash like neutrogena oil free acne wash(redness soothing with salicylic acid). after u wash, then do the exfoliator, then use a product with benzoyl peroxide in it, then apply a good oil free moisturizer(i use rare minerals purely nourishing facial moisturizer made by bare escentuals(u can buy that online, or at ULTA, and im sure many other places
I was going to say Dove. Its the only skin care product that I know is healthy for your skin.
